Welcome to CABA
CABA is dedicated to advancing the careers of historically underrepresented minority accounting, finance and business professionals through education, support, and networking opportunities. CABA members work at various expertise levels across a broad spectrum of accounting and finance specialties.
These include, controllers, consultants, cost accountants, chief financial officers, directors of finance, financial analyst, internal and external auditors, payroll managers and tax accountants, to name a few.
As entry-level staff, managers, senior exectuives, and entrepreneurs, CABA members represent the driving force behind many corporate, governmental and educational institutions.
CABA in Action
CABA’s members are passionate. We care about our community, we care about the alliance, and we care about shifting the diversity and inclusion conversation from theory to impact. Volunteer leaders are essential to the ongoing success of CABA and our mission. Each quarter, the volunteer leaders of our local chapter come together to tackle the challenges of our profession, our workplaces, and our association.
Being a part of a volunteer board can benefit the alliance, but it can also benefit you. As a CABA member, you belong to a community of professionals that share mutual goals, interests and commitments. CABA is always looking for members who are interested in enhancing their leadership skills and increasing their professional recognition. Becoming involved in volunteer efforts will allow you to make valuable connections with peers, share knowledge and discover new opportunities in your profession.
Corporate Partnership Program
The Corporate Partnership program is designed to attract new and retain existing corporate support for CABA’s Annual Scholarship Program and career development programs. A major part of our objective is to increase CABA awareness in the general business community, and to ensure the success of students and professionals in the accounting and business related professions. The Corporate Partnership Program is also designed to establish a mutually beneficial partnership with corporations and small businesses in Charlotte and surrounding areas.
